We call the organization of space from a specific viewpoint ‘perspective’ - a fixed point of observation and subjectivity. Thus, it establishes a center for the construction of systems of representation: the lenses through which the world is viewed and the potential conventions are built. From this axis, a metal sheet attempts to force onto a video a perspective with a vanishing point that doesn’t belong to it. A character moves through this space frantically, rapidly and unpredictably, distorting it wherever it passes. These movements are read and transformed: into numbers, then data, then sound. Devoid of affect, intention or predetermination, the system seeks a stability that is never attained. Distorting itself, the image oscillates between a binary state of black and white. Between these points, a new one emerges - uncapturable by the others, existing only in the movement of oscillation between them.
